Thursday assignments

Each student is to go to Typingtest.com and complete a two minute timed test. Please have Mrs. Smith write down you name and score.

After completing the timed test, work through the three assignments that you have the lowest score on and try to improve your words per minute and your accuracy. If you have any assignments where you are below 20 wpm or under 90% accuracy, you should definitely work on those assignments.

After you finish with the assignments, you may work on the keyboarding games only if you have completed yesterday's work.

Click here to go to the Computer Connections web page.  Begin working in lesson one and continue through lesson ten.  Complete the worksheets at the end of each lesson.  Print the worksheets and staple together to turn in all at once when you have completed the last lesson.

Welcome!

Welcome to the start of the 2011-2012 school year.  This connections class will focus on basic computing with an emphasis on keyboarding.  Students are challenged to be able to type at least twenty words per minute by the end of the nine week course.

We will also be learning some of the basic functions of Microsoft Word in order to better prepare you for your assignments that you will face in other classes.
